White Bear Lake combines the charm of a small town with the attractions of a big city.

White Bear Lake Area Historical Society

The White Bear Lake Area Historical Society works to connect the White Bear Community to it's past through a variety of outreach opportunities. Projects include boat, bus and walking tours, a quarterly newsletter and exhibits at both the Fillebrown House, an 1879 lakeside cottage and the 1935 Northern Pacific Depot that houses the society's office, resource library, gift shop and exhibits.

Special events throughout the seasons celebrate the strong history of the White Bear Area. Popular traditions include Pops on the Porch- a free concert of big band sounds and an ice cream social in August and the annual Victorian Tea in September- both at the Fillebrown House.
