"Bill Foussard Day"

Friday, May 26th, 2017

Our own Bill Foussard Chair of Explore White Bear received the Stanley & Doris Hill Legacy Award honoring all the amazing things he does for our community.  In addition to that our Mayor Jo Emerson proclaimed May 22nd to be Bill Foussard Day!!

So much fun first of all being able to surprise Bill is no small fete he's involved in every group and every project in White Bear Lake, but we pulled it off.  While Bill was over at Century College receiving his award the White Bear Country Inn and Rudy's Redeye Grill team was back at the hotel setting up the surprise party so the Mayor could do her proclamation.

It was even City Council meeting night so the Mayor got everyone to get through their agenda quickly and still be able to beat Bill back to the hotel.

We had an amazing turn out of Friends, Family, local business owners and organizations all waiting to yell surprise.

Thank you Mayor Jo hopefully this means we get to add another Holiday  to our list!!

Thank you to all who were able to make it and to all those that sent their well wishes.

Another one of the many reasons to work live and play in White Bear Lake a place where we truly care about each other and have a great time in celebrating each others accomplishments.

White Bear Lake and Bald Eagle Lake in beautiful White Bear Lake Weekly Fishing Update....

In White Bear Lake the catch for the week is Walleye and Crappies.  Walleye is best being caught at a depth of 15-26 feet using worms and leeches for bait.  Crappies are in the shallow waters 2-3 feet.

Bald Eagle Lake - their best catch this week is Bass being found in the shallows about 2ft deep using crash baits and soft plastics.

Looking forward to the Holiday weekend more time for fishing!  When you are not fishing check out some of the amazing restaurants and shops White Bear Lake has to offer.  If the weather is nice again we have some really great patio bars & grills that are a must see too!

Great time to take the family fishing make it your new holiday tradition.  Who needs video games when you can grab your rod and reel and head to the lake. Who knows maybe catch your dinner for the BBQ!
